Bianco di Morgante 92/100

Honor for a Nero D’Avola vinified in white, the power of a vine in a glass. It begins with a floral olfactory part, with notes of peach and spiciness of Mediterranean herbs, such as bay leaf, sage, fennel, to lead to notes of small white flowers. On the palate, the notes of the Nero d’Avola grape become fascinating, intense, boosting acidity and persistence, enveloping the papilla. Excellent with fish dishes, from raw to intense cooking in the oven or on the grill.

Nero d’Avola 92/100

If there is a brother of Don Antonio it is Morgante’s Nero D’Avola, not a younger brother but rather a facet of the production and interpretation of Nero d’Avola. Captivating, true, direct, energetic but at the same time persistent and of extreme olfactory quality. It is fresh and direct on the palate, captures you in its nuances, touches every papilla and pays homage to a ray of sun and Sicilian land. An excellent companion even just to be tasted in the glass, accompanied by the friendship of those who love one another, as well as a companion to go through a succulent meal based on red meats.

Don Antonio 96/100

If a winery can be blazoned for Nero d’Avola, this is Morgante. The territory is Grotte, a small town in the province of Agrigento. Don Antonio is the forefather of the Morgante family, he obstinately made this land the real “Land of Nero D’Avola” and his wine is the consequence. Year after year, Morgante gives us the charm of this grape, tames it and makes a wine that keeps its secret in its longevity. The wine is enchanting, harmonious, with dark notes of red fruits but with an acidic hint to support the wine for years and years. In the mouth it is a whirlwind of flavors, warm, intense and persistent, allowing you to savour that Sicilian sun that only a true Nero d’Avola can make.
