Never a name has been so direct to represent this Nero d’Avola: Gritoso, from its grit it derives all the energy contained in the vine grown in the Camporeale area in the province of Palermo. Great growth for this wine that I have seen over the years mature more and more and take on recognizable characteristics by the winery of Vincenza Pisciotto. The nose shows all the parts of the typicality of the grape, ripe berries, balsamic notes and Mediterranean spices, with an accentuated note of sage. On the palate it is balanced and excellent in combination with grilled red meats.
